ABOUT X-BAG

X-BAG (X-ray Baggage Scanner Gate Simulator) is an advanced CBT (Computer-Based Training) system, recognized as “The New Frontier of X-Ray Training.”
Designed to enhance the skill level of security officers—both public and private—X-BAG supports specialized training for the screening of baggage, cargo, and supplies within airports, ports, railways, customs facilities, and other sensitive sites.

The project stems from the collaboration between trainers, technicians, and security professionals, combined with the expertise of one of the leading Italian software houses in the simulation sector. This synergy led to the development of an innovative simulator—long absent from the training market—capable of offering high-level instruction aimed at covering a niche of excellence.

Through realistic simulation of baggage, goods, and a wide variety of operational scenarios, X-BAG enables security operators to engage with authentic situations and hundreds of potential threats. This immersive approach allows them to gain real experience in a safe environment, improving their ability to quickly identify prohibited items and effectively apply the appropriate countermeasures.

Official Recognition and Strategic Adoption

The X-BAG simulator enjoys strong institutional and operational recognition:

  • Italy (ENAC): X-BAG has been selected by ENAC (Italian Civil Aviation Authority) as the sole simulator used for certification and triennial recertification exams for all screeners nationwide, as well as for the theoretical examinations required for initial certification.
  • Spain: The system is also used in Spain for national examinations, similar to ENAC’s implementation in Italy.
  • Italian and Spanish Airports: X-BAG is the system adopted by key operators, including ADR (Aeroporti di Roma), Venice Airport, Naples Airport, and Trablisa, with over 3,000 Spanish screeners trained on the platform.
